Drake Racing Heading to a Pair of Lucas Oil Sanctioned Events This
Weekend
BLOOMINGTON,
IL (May 28, 2008) - Billy Drake will travel Ohio and Kentucky this
weekend and compete in a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
sanctioned events. On Friday the Billy Drake Racing Team will
compete at Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg Ohio in a $7,000 to win
feature event. Then on Saturday Billy will travel to Florence
Speedway in Union Kentucky and compete in the $10,000 win
"Ralph Latham Memorial Race". Both events will count in
the national point's standings for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt
Series. Billy is currently 8th in the Lucas Oil Series
point's standings and will be looking to move up with some good
finishes this weekend.
"I'm
looking forward to going to Hilltop and Florence Speedways this
weekend. Both tracks are exciting to race on and hopefully we can
get a couple good finishes and even get a win this year and gain
some points on those guys ahead of us. I want to thank everyone at
Warrior Race Cars for giving me the opportunity last week to drive
one of their house cars at the Show-Me 100 in Missouri. Even
though we didn't make the show we learned a lot with Envy
Suspensions and all those guys that made the deal possible",
stated Billy.
Last
weekend Billy traveled to West Plains Speedway in West Plains
Missouri for the $42,000 to win Show-Me 100 and drove one of the
Warrior Race Cars house cars. Billy failed to transfer to the
100-lap feature event through his heat race or his consolation
event.
