Billy Drake Heading to Eldora Speedway for $100,000 to Win Dream 100

BLOOMINGTON, IL (June 4, 2008)- Billy Drake Racing will travel to Rossburg Ohio this weekend and compete in the $100,000 to win "Dream 100" at Eldora Speedway. On Friday June 6th Billy will hot lap and make two qualifying laps to determine his starting position for the heat races. On Saturday June 7th the schedule of events include heat races, B-mains and the 100-lap $100,000 to win feature event. The $100,000 to win event is the largest first place prize for any dirt late model event of the year. This past weekend Billy competed in two Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned events. On Friday night Billy traveled to Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, OH for a $7,000 to win Lucas Oil Series feature event. Billy would start 10th in the feature event and would run in the top 10 the entire feature event finishing a solid 7th place. On Saturday Billy traveled to Florence Speedway in Union, KY for another Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event. Billy would miss transferring to the feature through his heat race by two positions. In the B-main Billy would again miss transferring to the feature by two positions and would fail to make the feature event. Billy is currently in 7th place in the series national point's standings.
 
"We had an up and down weekend. Friday night we had a solid top ten finish but then on Saturday we didn't make the show at Florence. It doesn't take much to be off just a little on setups and you will miss making the feature with the level of competition in today's times. We'll hopefully make a good qualifying lap this weekend at Eldora and get into the feature for the Dream. Once you get into the feature there at Eldora its 100 laps and anything can happen", stated Billy.
